刘俊光，世界茶叶组织WTeaO.org马来西亚负责人,1955年成立至今的马来西亚茶业商会会长。近期中茶中粮的老总和中国农业部相关领导也对刘会长进行了合作拜访，他也应邀参加中央电视台云南电视台等的纪录片拍摄。他同时也是马来西亚中国商会副会长,马来西亚英国研究生协会副主席，马来西亚澳大利亚工程师协会副主席。

A Brief History of Tea Trade Association of Malaysia

Tea Trade Association of Malaysia, previously known as Tea Merchant’s Association Federation of Malaya, was founded in 1955. Some Chinese tea merchants from around Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, initiated its inception then with an objective to solve common problems facing tea traders in safeguarding their interests.

To date, the association has a membership of about 100, with members spreading throughout the Peninsular of Malaysia. Its members trade a variety of teas, mainly black tea, Oolong, Liu Pao, Pu’Er and flavoured teas etc. Most of them operate on a family-business basis, inherited tea business from their ancestors, with some exceeding 4 generations.

In 1999, to suit the changing national conditions, the association was renamed as Tea Trade Association of Malaysia from its previous name of the Tea Merchant’s Association Federation of Malaya. In terms of administration, it holds a general meeting biyearly in which 27 members are to be elected to serve on an executive committee. The association has been growing from strengths to strengths, so to speak.

马来西亚茶业商会简史

马来西亚茶业商会原名马来亚联合邦茶业商会，创于1955年。当时由雪兰莪州及首都吉隆坡一带的华裔茶商共同倡组，并以为同业谋求共同福利及解决同业面对的难题为宗旨。

目前有会员约百位，遍布整个马来西亚半岛。会员主要经营红茶，乌龙茶，潽尔茶，六堡茶，花茶等。会员商号大多数属于传统家庭式生意，有一些更经营逾四代之久。

于1999年将商会名称从之前的名号改为今日的：马来西亚茶业商会。每两年举行的常年大会，会员们都踊跃出席，并通过提议与附议的方式选出27位执行委员，共同履行职务，确保会务得以稳健发展。
