On 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 16, 2017, Dr. Xingcai Zhang (Dr. Tea) was invited to offer a “Nanomaterials, Nanomedicine & Nanotea” seminar at School of Medicine, Tufts University by Sackler School of Graduate Studies and Biomedical Sciences. The seminar started at 11:00am, led by three leading members of Journal Club to have an in-dept discussion about one of Dr. Zhang`s recent paper on the anti-tumor studies of the tea polyphenol EGCG.  At 12:00pm, Dr. Zhang offered his in-depth lecture on “Nanomaterials, Nanomedicine & Nanotea”, covering 7 different types of Nanomaterials with biofunctionalities, the “Anti-Cancer Mechanism and LbL Drug Delivery System for Natural Products“, and corresponding researches on the anti-cancer, anti-obesity, non-toxicity, drug delivery  systems, and the fabrication of teas. At 1:00pm, Dr. Zhang was invited to have lunch with students with very enjoyable discussions. Many graduate students expressed that this is the best seminar they have had for long time which really opens their mind on the Nano world with an deep and direct input. Many expressed that through this seminar, they have a better understanding about nanotechnology and how it could be used in their diversified researches. At 2:00pm, Dr. Zhang meet those faculty members who showed great interest in the lectures and studies, especially those possible collaboration on nanomedicine and nanotea.
