Prof. Mildred Dresselhaus: World Tea Organization Advisory Board President

Besides being the WTeaO.org Advisory Board President, Prof. Mildred Dresselhaus is also the first female Institute Professor of MIT. She has served as President of the American Physical Society, Treasurer of the National Academy of Sciences, President of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, chair of the U.S. National Academy Decadal Study of Condensed Matter and Materials Physics, and on many advisory committees and councils.  She is a member of the National Academy of Sciences（1985）, the National Academy of Engineering（1974）, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the American Philosophical Society, American Carbon Society, the American Physical Society, the IEEE, the Materials Research Society, the Society of Women Engineers, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and American Carbon Society etc. Prof. Dresselhaus has received numerous awards, including the U.S. National Medal of Science, the Fermi Award, the Kavli Prize, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Vannevar Bush Award etc and 33 honorary doctorates worldwide. She is the co-author of eight books and about 1700 papers covering a wide range of problems.

Mildred Dresselhaus院士是MIT镇院教授，世界茶叶组织（WTeaO.org）总顾问，她还担任过美国物理学会主席，美国科学促进会会长，美国科学院财务长，“科学”杂志主编等诸多顶尖职位。她是美国科学院院士，美国工程院院士，美国艺术与科学院院士，美国哲学会成员，获得过众多奖项，包括总统自由勋章，国家科学奖章，Enrico Fermi奖和Vannevar布什奖等最高奖项。她被誉为碳学之母，还获得了联合国教科文组织颁发的女性科学家奖，被认为是世界上五个最杰出的女科学家之一。在科学界盛传的说法是；“一个诺贝尔奖获得者通常一声开创一个领域，Millie院士每十年开创一个”做为世界茶叶组织总顾问，她支持并实践“自然 健康 纯美 和谐”的茶文化与科学理念，我们在此祝福她生日快乐 健康纯美！
